Theabs wheel speed sensors are not going to directly affect the speedometer so unfortunately you wasted your $ on those. The VSS, vehicle speed sensor, is usually responsible for giving signal for the speedometer. More specifically, it's called the OSS, output speed sensor, and it's usually located on the side of the trans if it's an auto.
ModernFord cars – including popular models like the Focus, Fiesta, Transit, Kuga, Ka, Puma, and Ranger – are filled with lots of sensors that monitor how each system in the car is behaving. The lights on the dashboard display which systems are in use and highlight when one of those systems is not working as it should.
4 Use a Scanner to Determine if the VSS is Reporting any Speed. Plug a good scanner into the OBD II port. You can configure it to report the vehicle’s speed as reported by the VSS. If it says 0 MPH while driving, the VSS has likely caused your Ford Explorer’s speedometer to stop working.
Igot the Superchips FlashPaq cal to configure the 285/65/20's and you can have it read the digital speed to the decimal while driving. At 65mph, the digital speedo shows 65, needle shows 66, the calibrator shows 65.5mph. Cars have had slightly optimistic speedometers for as long as there have been speedometers.
My2015 Transit cruise control works fine. I'm not going to test the VSC. One thing that seems interesting in my research is the horrible engineering of the cowl "gutter". HORRIBLE. The driver side drain is supposed to guide runoff into the fender--horrible in itself re rusting. However, when it is clogged, the water will literally overflow

Thevehicle speed sensor (VSS) or output transmission speed sensor determines how fast your vehicle is going by measuring the rotation of a toothed wheel on a shaft inside the transmission or at one of the wheels if the signal is coming from the ABS module to the PCM or TCM. The speed sensor can produce analog waveform signals or
